What a Long Time!

Wow has it been a while since I made a blog post!

I thought some updates on how my book is going would be nice!!!

I finally have a title! Wowwieeeeeee I know that sounds like easy peasy lemon squeezy. But it definitely wasn't; holy moly crap it was hard. I've always had my series name, which is the Legend of Asialdan, but I didn't have the specific book one title. I decided for now that it is going to be the Legend of Asialdan: Heir of the World.

Pretty neat right? It took me six long months to even begin to think of it, and I'm still not sure I'm 100% pleased. It's growing on me, but not as fast as these things normally do. My husband was saying it should be Heir to the World not Heir of the world, but "of the world" was the first, natural thing that came to my head, so I'm sticking with it for now.

I also thought up a killer (rough draft) summary for it! Take a look:

A little over a century after their father's death, the demon Prince and Princess of Yayri, Corren and Amicia Hawtrey travel the continent of Onaesean in search of support to fight against the Elven nation that took not only half of their land away, but also their father.

The only problem is, Prince Corren doesn't support this plan at all. In fact, he loathes it. All he wants to do is stay in his room, read, live in peace, and somehow find a way to suppress the burning desire he and the rest of his kingdom has to devour the souls of others.

But with the entirety of Asialdan once again on the brink of of war, he has to make a decision. Does he go along with his mother and sister's plan to wage war on the elves and completely slaughter them? Or does he go against their wishes in an attempt to preserve peace among the seven races?

And that was copied right off my home page, so whoever (if anyone) comes to my website normally has probably already seen it. Who cares. I wanted to brag!

What else has been happening? Well, I'm not too sure. Not much. I'm finally done waiting to get peer drafts back and I'm on draft #4. Let me tell you. Reading something over and over again might sound like a breeze, but it is sure as hell not. Having the will and endurance to keep reading on is an art. I just now got to chapter 7, and that's why I decided to start this blog post because I am super ultra procrastinating.

There's an action shot right there. From which draft you do not need to know (the third. It's from the third). That was from when I was hand editing it. Something you should not do with a pen in one hand and a glass of peach schnapps in the other. There were some edits where I was like "ehhhhh idk what that is."

Welp. Wish me luck. I'm going to try to get through another chapter tonight before I go to bed.
