Hey everyone!!

First off, if you're a follower from twitter... omg hi. I'm super thrilled you're here!!! If you found my blog some other way, tell me how. I feel like I'm unfindable... is that a word?

Anyway, I'm here to give an update on how everything is going with my #wip. Things are actually going really great! I've decided I am going to go ahead and agree with my husband's suggestion to change the working title of my MS to Heir to the World instead of Heir of the World. Big stuff, big stuff. Also, I've handed some of my MS over to two editors for a sample edit, and let me tell you! The waiting IS AWFUL.

I am like, bouncing with excitement and can hardly wait. I'm super nervous because my book is my baby, but I'm also ready to hear what a professional has to say about my book. I mean, I have a friend who has read it, my little brother, and just recently I handed it over to one of my dad's friends so she could read it, but I feel like I need someone who has nothing to lose by telling me the truth. Not that the opinions of the people who already read it don't matter, I just want some more feedback!

So, what am I doing while I wait?

I'm actually working on a side story that I started back in July while I was waiting for the third draft of #HeirtotheWorld to rest. Its working title is I Spy but that very well is probably going to change. It's about an extremely talented and gifted spy from Bothia who gets caught, along with the rest of his team, spying on the neighboring elf kingdom of Syringa. In order to save his men and get them back over the border to their home, Cosimo agrees to be Princess Ava's servant. Obviously, being his big and brawny self, he is appalled at even the idea of being a servant, but the manipulative princess leaves him no choice. So it kind of follows him through that. I think I'm going to stay in his POV for the entire story, but I have never been known to do that, so. I think switching POVs gives a fresh view of things (as long as you're not switching to every character's POV every chapter).

Besides drowning in all the work from my college, not much else has gone on. I'm thinking about doing some blog posts introducing my characters from Heir to the World if I don't die from homework this next week. I'm not sure!

Before I sign off, here's a picture of one of my favorite coffee mugs with my favorite #yogibrand #tea!!

Thanks for reading everyone! Be safe and don't stop writing!!

xoxoxo,

Megan Ransdell
